I am extremely blessed to only have to work 2 1/2 days a week. This allows to have most days at home with Té. This Thursday & Friday TSE has two shows. We have one each night, which means I have to leave her with someone since John and I are both in the band. Thursday we've worked it out with a friend of my mom's to watch her and Gavin, which is very nice. And Friday she'll be staying with John's mom. I'm grateful for the "adult time" but I'm wondering if it will ever get any easier to leave her. I have no reason to worry - she will be in very capable hands both nights. And cognitively I fully understand this. I'm just trying to get my worrywart emotional part to catch up with this line of thinking.
On another note - Thanksgiving is coming! I'm SO excited! My brother, Richard and his wife, Priscilla and son, Gideon (my absolutely adorable nephew!) are coming up. There are going to be a ton of people there. Although we will be missing Jill (John's sister) and her husband Jeremy. They are spending the holiday with his family in Cincy. Although that means we get them for Christmas :) I'm glad John and my familes all celebrate Thanksgiving together. It's really nice. For Christmas this year John and I decided not to visit both families on the same day. Even though they live extremely close to each other (and to us) it can make for a very hectic couple of days - we would go to both families on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - it was tiring! (but fun) This year we'll go be with my family on Christmas Eve and John's family on Christmas Day. I think this will be much easier on Téah which means it will be easier on her parents!
Last note - John has a new nickname for Téah. He calls her Tater Tot. I find this pretty amusing.
