For SL!

Lyssa takes a trip
Where do you want to go? I'll go West. It will be a road trip to check out the Rockies, Yellowstone, etc.
Movies to watch to prepare: Camping movie favorites: The Parent Trap (the original only please)some National Geographic to brush up on Wolves, then maybe scare myself a little with The Blair Witch Project
People to talk to: John (he has to come of course and he has been out there before) both of our dads for help with trip planning, AAA for various triptiks
Things to find out about: no languages to learn, but need to possibly make camping reservations ahead of time. need to find out where campsites are and cost to stay there.
Things to take with: tent, husband and daughter (plus paraphenalia that goes along with said travel companions), good snacks, iPod, backpacks (day and overnight) plenty of baby wipes for any possible mishaps
Songs for Splendid Travel: the first 3 tracks on Over the Rhine's Drunkard's Prayer album. This is the only way to keep Teah somewhat happy in the car!
Other things to consider: gas prices, times of year that parks are open. Should the trip be taken in the summer or will it be to crowded??

Oh it sounds wonderful! I have been West in the summer (ages ago) and I highly recommend it.

And I am totally with you on the ORIGINAL Parent Trap.

Thanks for playing along with me :)
