Life on Rural Street

I just put Téah to bed for the third time. Right after Christmas she went from a cold to a stomach virus to another cold. That last cold has still not lost it's grip on her and she keeps waking herself up coughing. It is really getting to be rather annoying. On a happier note she has almost mastered sitting up by herself without any extra support. She totally makes me laugh because she looks so stinking proud of herself when she does it. Oh and in daycare she is now the baby who "never cries." How the heck did that happen? She's 6 months old!! how did THAT happen?! Next week she has her 6 month checkup and I think she might up to a massive 13 1/2 lbs or so.

John had jury duty today. He took the bus in to town and went shopping at the downtown Kaufmann's on his lunch break. He did say he got a lot of reading done while he sat around waiting for his name to be called, so that is good. I have never had jury duty. I don't know if I want to, honestly. I know it's my "civic duty" but I just don't want to. I'm probably going to get my "juror questionairre" now.

The Olympics are on right now. Specifically, women's ice skating is on right now. Yes, I'm one of "those girls." I love to watch the Olympic Ice Skaing. Fun stuff. I want to know how they do that. I will pick up a mic and sing but do not ask me to enter an ice rink on ice skates. No way.

Ok, I'm done with the rambling post. I think I just felt like typing as I watch Ice Skating and listen to the monitor and wait for Té to wake up again. Ok, mission accomplished. She literally woke up the second I typed that sentence. Bye.
