Life on Rural Street

This is Téah's first Christmas! Not that she'll remember it or anything... but she'll have pictures!

This morning was our morning to sleep in. That is, it would have been our morning to sleep in, except we have a baby now. Sleeping in is overrated anyway. I'm trying to convince myself that I believe that. Téah woke up at 7:30am sharp. That actually isn't so bad. John told me he wanted to sleep in and asked if I could take her out into the living room and let him sleep a little bit. I obliged seeing as he had Téah all by himself yesterday and he took me to a late movie last night. (we saw Harry Potter!) So he was due a big favor. Téah and I decided that while John slept we would make him breakfast in bed. Ok, so Téah watched and cheered me on and I cooked. I made him blueberry muffins, scrambled eggs and coffee. Not a huge fancy breakfast, but still nicer than a bowl of cold cereal. I had to consult John on the coffee though. He is the coffee maker around here and I honestly had no idea about how many scoops of coffee to put in! (sad, I know). He was pleasantly surprised with his breakfast. I hope it gave him a good start to the Christmas weekend.

I'm off to get ready for a Christmas Eve's Eve service at FPC. Tomorrow there are two services there (we're helping out with the music). The day will be spent with my parents, nephew, sister and brother-in-law. Christmas Day will be spent with John's side of the family. fun stuff!!
